Register and Privacy Policy of the UN Youth of Finland

The purpose of the register and privacy policy is to describe the processing of personal data by the controller. The association has organized its functions concerning registering and processing of personal data in accordance with the requirements of applicable EU and national law and the regulations and guidelines issued thereunder.

Personal data collected from participants in the activities of the UN Youth of Finland

4. Purpose of the processing of personal data

Personal data is processed lawfully, properly and transparently for the data subject.

The purpose of the personal register is to collect from persons participating in the activities of the UN Youth of Finland the personal data required by the Association Act (504/1989) [section 11] and other information necessary for the activities of the association. The association collects and processes personal data provided by the person who has given their consent.

5. Information in the register

The personal data required by the Association Act, is the member’s name and domicile, as well as the e-mail address and other possible information provided by the member in order to handle matters related to their membership or participation in the activities are collected in the personal register of the association.

6. Disclosure of information

The information will not be disclosed outside the association. The association may pass on the data only with the consent of the person or on other grounds in accordance with the general EU data protection regulation (2016/679). The association does not disclose data to third countries outside the EU or the EEA.

7. Register security principles

Personal information is kept confidential, mainly in electronic form. The electronic personal register is located in the service provider’s database, which is protected by user IDs.

The material may also be in manual form, if this is necessary for the purpose of the activity. Manual data is stored in a place that is not accessible to outsiders.

8. Right of inspection and right to request rectification of data

A person participating in the activities of the UN Youth of Finland has the right to check what information about them has been stored in the personal register and the right to request the correction of incorrect information. Information relating to the inspection or rectification may be sent in writing to the address mentioned in point 1 or by e-mail to the address mentioned in point 2.
